As a globally recognised icon of luxury skincare, La Mer demands packaging that evokes a premium sensory experience while optimising for storage, transport, and in-store presentation. Pin Press partnered with the brand to develop custom bundle and set packaging that flawlessly executes La Mer’s signature aesthetic without compromising logistical practicality.

From proprietary colour formulation to space-optimized structural engineering, every detail was meticulously woven together to ensure every box matches the prestige of the formula within.

The Challenge

Luxury skincare packaging often faces a trade-off between premium presentation quality and operational efficiency. La Mer needed a packaging partner capable of:

Maintaining absolute colour fidelity by replicating La Mer’s signature brand green, which sits entirely outside standard Pantone matching system (PMS) swatches.
Sourcing and executing bespoke embellishment – a highly specific champagne gold hot-stamping foil for high-precision logo application.
Designing a premium, high-protection integrated folding flap structure so that the multi-product bundle packaging could be delivered flat to optimize retail space, yet assembled seamlessly at the counter.

Our Solution

Custom Ink Blending & Precision Hot Stamping

Pin Press developed a proprietary, custom-blended ink formulation, meticulously mixed to achieve an immaculate, uniform brand green across all production runs. Collaborative efforts were initiated to source the exact, restrictive shade of champagne gold foil required, ensuring a high-contrast metallic logo stamp that catches the light beautifully against the green matte velvet backdrop. To complete the high-end sensory experience, controlled embossing and soft-touch lamination were applied to meet the exacting tactile standards of the brand.

Build-at-Counter Folding Structure

We developed an innovative, space-optimized solution for a specialised set packaging. The integrated folding flap design allowed the premium cartons to be delivered completely flat—achieving significant storage volume reduction for global transit and retail storage. When ready for display, the structure easily pops into place for immediate, secure product protection at the counter, completely eliminating the material loss and unrefined look typically caused by loose, shifting inserts.
